Harvest 2020 at Quinta do Meco and Quinta da Cabreira

September is the harvest month in the Douro and the hustle of the manual harvesting and transportation of the grapes to the wineries has begun in Quinta do Meco and Quinta da Cabreira in the subregion of Douro Superior. The rugged terrain of this magnificent terroir allows for manual harvesting only, which means the oldest plots are treated with care. A painstaking and rigorous sorting is carried out at the picking stage and also, if necessary, on a sorting table in order to eliminate the poorer-quality berries.

Setembro é o mês da vindima no Douro e a azáfama da colheita manual das uvas e do seu transporte para as adegas já começou na Quinta do Meco e na Quinta da Cabreira, na sub-região do Douro Superior. A topologia acidentada deste magnífico terroir apenas permite a colheita manual das uvas, o que significa que as parcelas mais antigas são tratadas com cuidado. Durante a fase de colheita é feita uma triagem das uvas meticulosa e rigorosa e também, na mesa de triagem, com o intuito de eliminar as bagas de qualidade inferior.
